Speed limit inside the city: 50 km/h.
Roads outside the city without a barrier: 80 km/h.
Roads outside the city with a barrier: 90 km/h.

Tel Aviv is a large and central city. The roads inside the city are often jammed by traffic and parking there is not one of the convenient things in the driving experience.
There are a lot of traffic inspectors and the police sometimes deploying barriers on the roads that leading toward the city, for catching drivers that exceed the maximum speed limit. Fines can be heavy.
Parking
Its not an easy task to find a parking place in Tel Aviv center at anytime since night life are very lively like as the day time.
There are 4 curbstones marks that you should know:
Red and white means that there no parking allowed.
Red and yellow means neither parking nor stopping allowed.
Blue and white means parking with pay-and-display vouchers (which can be acquired at any kiosk or street machine) or with parking meters. Grey (no color) means parking is allowed.
Cars are being towed in Tel Aviv at all times, even at nights. There is a towing fee and a fine for parking violations.
Next to a blue and white curbstone there is a sign that indicates the hours and days which the parking regulations are apply.
There are a lot of parking lots spread out in the city. The prices are changed by day/night.
Road conditions
The roads in Tel Aviv are constantly jammed during the business hours, especially in the city center.
There are no trams or light trains but in several major roads around the center, there are special lanes for buses.

General tips |
Seatbelts are compulsory front and rear. Children under 14 year's old not allowed to seat in the front.
It is illegal to speak with a mobile phone without a "hands free" device.
For any car rental in Tel Aviv, you must carry your driving license at all times, as well as your Avis insurance and rental details.
Check with your agent about the need of international driving license.
When picking/returning a car in Ben Guryon airport, there is a handling fee of 27$. Tourists and non Israeli citizens don’t pay VAT which is 16%.
There is a toll road named "highway 6" that is spread out from the north (Iron junction near Hadera) to the south (Sorek junction near Kiryat Gat).
Payment is being made automatically with a car license scanner and the bill is being sent to the driver' by mail or the car rental company.
